after installing a new power steering pump and the car running fine
for approximately a week, it now seems to be full of air bubbles.
it now spews out fluid from the reservoir like i've never seen.
it is still driveable but make the usual roaring sound like a pump
that is out of fluid - even though the reservoir still shows fluid
on the dipstick........

You need to bleed the pump. Put the front end in the air (jackstands),
start the car, fill the reservoir and leave the lid off. Slowly turn the
steering wheel all the way to the right (lock position) and hold it for
a second or two. Then, turn all the way to the left (lock position) and
hold for a second or two. Do this several times until you see no
bubbles. You may want to repeat this procedure after a day or two to
insure that ALL of the air is bled from the system. Good luck.

You need to turn the steering wheel full to the left and full to the
right a few times to bleed out the air, while the engine is running.
