Im back from iraq and trying to get my porsche running
It has been sitting for 2 years, i hit a light pole and it hasnt started
since, i got spark, but no fuel. i troubleshot it all the way to the fuel
pump. I disconnected the output hose from the fuel pump and crank the
engine but no fuel is coming out the pump, i just replaced the pump from
with another one off my 83 porsche. Im frustrated and need some help. I
have another porsche to strip parts off of so thats not a problem.
Thanks

sounds like you need to replace the dme relay, it also controls power to
the fuel pump....

The gas in the tank/fuel pump could be varnish and sludge
after two years, how does it smell when you take off
the gas cap? You say the fuel pump heats up, but does it
make any noise?
porsche_bb - 20 May 2004 07:37 GMT
well as far as making any noise, i cant hear anything when i bypass it with
87b and 30 at the dme relay. i dont see how hitting something can cause so
much trouble! anyone have any other ideas. the gas coming out of the tank
isnt bad, i just put 10 gallons of fresh gas and some injector cleaner in
there!!!

help

Put everything back together. Then, unplug 1 injector and try to start
it. If it starts, it's a bad FPR.
