hi,

Starting my 924 when it is cold, gives me a bit of trouble. I need to
press the gas before is reacts, and when it comes on it sounds a bit
'jumpy', and the idle speed goes up and down. It sometimes dies again
after some seconds if I don't continue with the gas.

When it gets to operating temperature after a while everything is fine,
and it runs very smooth, and I can start and stop the engine without
problems.

Does anyone here have an idea what could be the problem? What should I
look for? Is there a cold-start mechanism on the engine that could be
broken?

cheers,
Morten Perriard

if the 924 has an idle bypass valve, I'd venture a guess that it's stuck or
worn out
