I just bought a set of chips by AutoThority for my 944 T, they did not come
with the " bango bolt " that you see with the chips on Ebay sometimes, can
anyone tell me what this bolt is and do I need it for the chips to work ?
Thanks.

Todd,

When I bought my 1987 944T I was told it had a an Autothority Stage II kit
installed and it has the Banjo bolt insert installed.  I think the stage I
kit does not include the insert.  I understand the Banjo Bolt insert allows
higher boost pressures which provides more horsepower.

I would call AutoThority and tell them about the markings or part numbers on
the chips and ask then about what you have.  When I talked to them, they
were very helpful.
