crankshaft pully bolt,,  which way does it come off,   anti-clockwise
like a normal bolt, or clockwise.

Doing belts and water pump and the darn thing won't loosen with an
impact wrench

Yeah, real problem.  It comes off by twisting counter clockwise.  You
will need a breaker bar on the socket and a three to four foot pipe
extension.  Then rock the pipe.  You may need another person to hold
the socket onto the bolt while you twist.

it's easy - breaker bar and proper socket, plus pipe, lay the pipe on the
ground, put car in neutral and "blip" the starter.  Or put in 4th and push
the car by hand - either will work - I usually use the "blip the starter"
method

forgot to mention, the engine is out of the car presently hanging off an
engine hoist.

The trick with blipping the starter works just fine - your very own
impact wrench.

As I mentioned in a previous message, the engine is out of the car,
hanging from a hoist...
