83 944 convertible??

:\) :\) - 17 May 2005 07:06 GMT Ok guys.....what have I got? I picked up a 1983 944 convertible about a year ago and parked it in the garage and havent played with it yet. Any ideas if this was a conversion done at the factory or??? It looks like a factory deal. Anyone ever see one. Its got carrera gt on the trunk lid and UGLY black luggage racks on the trunk. Thanks!

doug - 02 Jun 2005 02:43 GMT that would leave one heck of a lift-over, not to mention exhaust fumes in the cabin unless they blocked it off.... I actually prefer the 928 Spyder conversion that is still offered up for sale, in my mind that would have been a much better product then the Boxster..

but Porsche did NOT release a cab til the s2 in 89
