I have had the battery box prior acid leak,,, battery replaced box cleaned and repaired... now large hole and lack of structure leaking water when it rains into the passenger compartment. Body shop cannot find used parts or parts to order so says it will be extremely expensive to fabricate. Already spent $350 to patch that did not work,,, and they considered that cheap so not yet sure what extremely expense would be. I am in Raleigh NC. It is pretty easy to fill a hole (non structural) in a spot that does not show, and fix a leak.
