Hi,
I have a few problems with my 1988 automatic

most important is that I seem to have no power at all from idle to three
thousand rpm, then the power kicks in like a turbo spooling up (unfortunatly
it's not a turbo car)

second is that the console and tunnel seem to get unreasonably hot

anyone ever experienced this?

thanks in advance
Peter

Does it feel like the transmission is either in Gear 2 or 3 when starting
from a stop?
Maybe the Transmission Control Module is not functioning maybe due to a
blown fuse.

Try shifting into the lowest gear to see if you "feel" the power again.
If you do then I would suspect something with the TCM.
Possibly also that cable out of adjustment and maybe the TPS too.
Just some ideas to look at.  ;-)
