1985 Porsche 944 with 130K. It used to running fine. Couple months
ago, Dealer did an auto. transmission flush. It runs very smooth.
Recently, I have 2 problems:
(1) When I start the car and drive. It will not shift to higher gear
even at 3-4000 rpm. But, if I warm up the car, by running idle 10
minutes, it runs fine after warm-up. This happen 100%.

(2) When I drive on the highway about 60 MPH, engine just dead. I
restart the engine. It dies again after idles for 3 seconds. After
several start & die. I wait for 30 minutes. Then start the car with no
problem. Note: The temp looks O.K. There is one thing - when I pull
off from the highway, I notice the cooling fan is not on. (For 944,
the cooling fan usually is on after stop the car). This (2) case only
happen 3 times for the last several weeks.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

RE trans - sounds like it may be low on fluid, but I don't know much about
that trans - maybe take back to the dealer for a check
RE dies on highway - the DME relay is one possible culprit, and it's easy to
change
