Head stud removal 951. YES or NO

I am currently replacing my headgasket on my 951 and have the age old
question: Head studs, to replace or not to replace. I have so far had one
shop say yes, and another say no, so I am at a loss. The next question is
trying to get the f*&^ers out. I have tried one, just to see if it would
budge, with two nuts, but I have the feeling I will need a studremover. Last
question, how do you get them back in to the specified torque, ie what tool?
(30Nm and 60 degrees after that, I think according to the WSM)

many thanks

Marcel

check the porsche manual and see what it says - my guess, not based on hard
data is that you should leave them alone - it's not like the old VWs and air
cooled porsche where the studs would streach due to heat

Have phoned a few more places. General concensus is that they are not
stretchbolts and don't need replacing if they are in good condition, ie
threads are ok and there are no cracks or anything. So I guess I'll leave
them in place.
