Hey guyz will an MSD Blaster Coil work on these Porsche’s. I have a
vibration at Idle that I can’t figure out the only think I haven’t
replaced yet is the coil. Also oddly enough i get no resistance
reading between the 2 poles on the coil. Thanks...

You probably have a vacuum leak.  Also, clean up the air flow meter
gate with some gum out.  May cure the problem.

Is there a good way of checking for a vacuum leak. The Airflow Meter
is new/rebuilt. I have had the intake manifold off and replaced all
the vacuum hoses that were tore. On my carb. car I would have just
sprayed some carb cleaner to check for leaks, does this still work? I
have a newer Computer and MAS (87) but the older wiring so no Idle
Stabilizer just an Aux air valve (that may or may not work since I
have no cold idle up feature) Thanks..

Vibration at idle???  The engine is not idling smoothly?  If you have a
vacuum leak  the economy gauge will go below 20 inches when cruising at
60 mph on flat road.
You can take the vacuum hose off the brake diaphragm and put compressed
air into it then search for leaking air coming out of fittings etc.

You may need to replace the "o" rings on the injectors.  If you are
using the original ones that is definately a source of excess air into
the induction system and will affect the idle quality.

I replaced the orings and the fuel injectors. Also the MPG gauge reads
25-28mpg at 70 on even ground. Actualy I avg. 380 miles on a tank of
fuel.

You mentioned using a computer different from the original.  Later
models of 944 used ring gears with more teeth to increase the
resolution of engine speed from the speed sensor.  I do not know how
this could affect the operation of the computer you are now using but
it may be the source of your problem.  Using an 87 computer on an 83.
You will probably get an answer from the manufacturer but I doubt
anyone here could comment  to your benefit.

My car is sort of a freak. It is an 83 but I think it’s a newer motor.
I’m not sure what has been swapped. I think I’m just going to live
with it until I do my Chevy V8 conversion.

if you are only getting 350 miles on a tank, you are probably either running
with a lead foot, in heavy traffic, or have something seriously wrong - you
should be getting in the high 20s to low 30s if all is well, low to mid 20s
in town with  hihg mileage engine.....

Yeah, 380 miles/19 gallons is 20 MPG. Not anywhere close to where it should
be

The vibration sounds like balance shaft belt needs replacing or you need an
engine mount - take it to a mechanic for diagnosis. Don't want to be driving
a car with bad balance shaft belt - it could break and destroy your timing
belt, then your car will need some very expen$ive repair.

For the miliage problem.........................
Does the car smell gassy when you hit the pedal? Can you smell the exhaust?

After checking for air leaks in the vaccum system, try the screw on the
throttle body. Looks like a nut on the top left of it, right by the rubber
boot that goes to it from the air mass unit.

Tweak it so the idle drops to 900-950 RPM on your tach.

Chevy V8 conversion......????/ You should have your car taken away from you
and given to a decent home. You obviously don't deserve such a finely
engineered automobile if you're going to sully it with a POS Chevy motor -
just kidding, LOL!!!!

Good luck with it, let us know how it goes :)
