Car Forum / Porsche / Porshe 944 / November 2005No spark for 1983 porsche 944...HELP!!!
I am getting no spark past the starter. I've replaced the relay for fuel pump, tested fuel pump, replaced the relay to the fuel pump and still no spark. As in Spark plug? Something doesn't add up here...  SignatureRegards, Dave dave_ryman@hotmailNOSPAM.com http://welcome.to/daves.website http://travel.to/formula.one It is most likely your Speed or the Reference Mark Sensor, they are located at the back of the engine on the bell housing. If the speed sensor is faulty you will get no spark at all. Both sensosr are identical but the perform different function. Good luck Stephan Sorry I forgot to tell how to check it out, when you crank your car up if the tachometer needle doesn't jump while cranking it means your speed sensor is gone and that's most likely your problem.
