Hi all,

The fresh air blower on my late '85 model 944 Lux is playing up.

It comes on initially, but after a few seconds just cuts out. The fuse is
fine. Any ideas what the cause of this problem is, please?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Does it cut out if you have it on the max setting?  The problem may be with
the resistor bridge that controls fan speed.

If I use the demist button, which gives maximum delivery to the screen using
the fan, the fan cuts out after a few seconds, so your theory could be
right, thanks. Any advice on how / how easy it is to rectify the problem,
please?!

on my 85.5, I had this problem, a swift kick to the wire bundle under
the "central electronics" unit would cure it - the  copper strips in
that unit get oxidized and then cause intermittant connections -
