How to open bonnet on 996 C4 Cabriolet with a flat battery

It seems like the bonnet and boot need power to open.., but what
happens if the battery is flat?

Can anyone tell me?

starting with the 964 -- carrying on through the 993 (and I think the
996)  there is an emergency 'loop' of wire in the front of the wheel
well that open the hood.

Take off the front wheel's  inner fender liner, and the loop of thin
silver wire (emergency hood release) should be barely visible in the
front.
