Headlight Lens - Help

Just bought an 1989 911Cab.  There is a small hole in one of the headlight
lens.  I've looked on Pelican Parts, etc. and found out that for the 1989,
you can just buy the lens itself for about $42.00 or if you buy the
assembly, which is about $190.00
I took out the light and looked to see if the lens comes apart easily from
the assembly but mine seems really stuck or sealed.
Am I correct that I can buy just the lens or do I really have to buy the
whole assembly. If I can just buy the lens, do I have to pry it off?  Break
the glass? Appreciate any suggestions.

hello,
the lens is secured to the light assembly
with " clips " that hold the lens in place.
look and you'll see them . they go all
around the inside of the assembly .
