Could somebody tell me what the differences are except for the headlights
and speedometer in miles?

Thanks,

bas

US has a catalytic convertor, door braces, corner markers, rear
bumperettes, bumper shocks. Euro cars have headlight tilt adjustment and
side markers.

The base Euro model had about ten more horsepower.

Then there is the Euro S version with 300 HP instead of 220. It's got
the front and rear spoilers and flat dish wheels as well.

It depends on the models. The base Euro version has higher compression
so a few more horsepower. The "S" version is larger with higher
performance overall.

NO! 1980 928s do not all have same motor. Some have 4.5L Euro S has
4.7L.  I own 1980 928S W/4.7L =300HP. Transaxle is also different,
actually most of differences are listed on previous post. I will be
glad to compare differences via email. Toofe

NO!

There were three engines in 1980. That'd be the US engine, the Euro
regular engine and the Euro S engine. Actually more if you count the
other per-country variants but those are the main versions.

No one in the US recognizes the base Euro car as there was no reason to
import them.

No. There were 2 engines, 4.5 and 4.7. The HP difference in the 4.5 is
from emissions in US
