I've heard that Porsche offers a switch that disables BOTH the passenger
airbags on a 2001 Boxster.  Anyone out there using it and if so are you
CONFIDENT that it truly disables both bags?  Is it a switch or must you use
the Porsche child seat?

Thanks in advance.

The Porsche child seat includes a seat-belt-like connection that
deactivates the bags when connected.
A 'deactivation bar' is installed on the front seat bolts that hold the
connector.   The computer has to be reprogrammed, also.

Can't be 100% confident... but the airbag light flashes for 1 minute
after starting with the child seat installed per design.
