Hope this helps... Also the WAC Campground is nice, it's in Sarcoxie, but it's about 160 miles away. Good overnight stop if you're coming from the West and can't make it all the way.... Nice trout fishing there too ! I agree the campground is very nice. It's clean, the sites aren't completely on top of one another, nice showers, laundry facilities even. As far as nice trout fishing, that is a matter of opinion. I camped there while my son did his MOS training for the Marines. I was in basic training there from August to November. Being from California, I had never seen the fall colors and was awed by the change of scenery. Spent a week in a pup tent on bivoac there.
