Hello. New to this group but not to Usenet (about 14 years). Have been a
tent Camper (And Tank Camper-Army) for near 30 years. Havent really even
considered a trailer until last year and couldnt convince the wife we should
get one, she prefers Hotels. But Katrina just came through and she and I
decided to get one and set it up for my brother. So, we got an 89 Coleman
for a reasonable price in pretty good condition and now I dont have to stay
in a tent when camping any longer! Yippeee!!! Very happy with this thing.
And I will probably have a lot of questions, so if I become a bother let me
know.
Thanks

Welcome Jeff. Hopefully you got this and are setting it up for your brother
so he can visit, not stay for ever :)
We tent camped for 16 years and finally broke down in 99 and bought a new
Coleman/Fleetwood Mesa. Got to love getting off the ground!

Hey Jeff,
Welcome! I've been an avid tent camper since I was a little boy. When I got
married, the wife and I spent a few days camping in a 7'x7' tent. A year or
two after, we moved up to a pop-up, then to a 16' travel trailer, then a 24'
travel trailer, and now back to a pop-up! I love the pop-up. It extends our
camping season into the summer. We live in Florida. Momma, has to have air
conditioning. If momma's not happy, nobody's happy!
The girls (daughters 10 & 14) and I on occasion will still camp in a tent
when we get the urge to canoe camp. Pop-ups are the way to GO!
