Grease Gun

This is a dumb question.  I have had to use a grease gun for the first
time in my life to grease up my red eye bearings on my popup.  The gun
fits over the zerk fine, but after I put the grease in and am ready to
disconnect from the zerk, it takes all my strength to pull the thing
off.  Is there something I am supposed to do before it just comes off?

Thanks,
Dan

That's the way it works but it should not take that much strength.

You still need to pull your wheels and repack because the grease doesn't get
to the rear bearings.  Red Eyes are made for boat trailers to keep the water
out.

I've had that problem.  The gun seems to be very resistant to a straight
pull off.  I move it off center a little and it helps.  Of course you
shouldn't move it too far for fear of breaking off the Zerk fitting.
