Buying a trailer in the U.S.

Hi everyone, I've put a bid on a trailer in the States and just wondering if
there is any canucks out there who have purchased a tent trailer in the
States and brought it back home to Canada. What was the duty like? (Approx
$8K US) Any hassles crossing the border? Thanks

There was an extended series of discussions on the pop-up-times forum
chronicling (in extreme detail) the adventures of a poster called
"birol" who successfully did what you are trying to do.

Go to http://www.arveeclub.com and search for posts started by birol
containing the word customs, and you will pick up most of it.
