7 pin connector question

Ok I read the posts below, the Starcraft i just bought has the 7 pin
connector but has no brakes, and at this time don't plan on adding them. The
additional pins must be for 12 volt power to the camper and brakes if the
caper came with them or they are added.

Last I knew in Connecticut (were I live)  over 2000 LBS needs brakes, my
boat (1967 starcraft) is about that weight and has no brakes, we have towed
it for 13 years with no issues but I do drive with great care when doing so.
I know at anytime someone could pull out or do something to cause the sudden
need for the extra brakeing power. I would think the short wheel base of the
pop up would increase the need for brakes, the boat trailer is much longer.

So it looks like we are a starcraft family, boat and camper, if my camper
lasts as long as my boat life would be very good.

So what is the question?  As you say, even without trailer brakes, the 7
pin connector is still needed for battery power.  Best to have the tow
vehicle equipped with 7 pin so it can pull anything.

Northern Tool has a lot of electrical adapter connectors and other
trailer parts.

But you can find those parts most anywhere.
