I have a 1984 Coleman Royale that I recently purchased. The plywood
throughout the roof is rotten and soaked. When removing the roof, I
notice that the aluminum shell has a bunch of tiny little holes on the
sides. What I think happened is that water leaked in through the
center seal and saturated all layers in roof system. I believe the
water settled on the sides and corroded the aluminum on the sides.
Does anyone have any ideas on repairing these holes without completely
replacing the aluminum? I realize that I have to replace all of the
plywood and styrofoam. I am just not to sure about repairing the
aluminum.

The aluminum sheeting they used on these things is very thin and prone
to minor punctures... What I did is got some roof repair stuff at Lowes.
It rolls on just like paint and you need to layer it. When it dried it's
a thin elastomer coating that seals all the holes and the complete roof.
My problem was a low spot by the AC unit. I let it run across the roof
from each side and it pooled by the low spots and I let it dry for a
couple days..... No more leaks. The liquid I used is made by Cool Seal
and is the Elastomeric coating. White.
Worked like a charm.. one note to keep up with it before the season
starts put one more coat on each year and you'll be surprised how long
it will last. Oh you can also have it tinted to match your camper...
