Hi,

We have a 97 Coleman SeaPine.  When the four of us go (2 adults, 2 teens),
the camper looks like a bomb went off with everyone's clothes and stuff
everywhere.
A friend takes a tent and puts that up and that's where everyone keeps their
stuff and it's their changing room too.  I don't really want to do
that....any suggestions?

Thanks!

A really good question.  Here is what we do in our popup with the 4 of us.
We bought these stackable drawers about a foot and a half dimensionally on
each side.  Each family member gets to fill up one for the trip.  When
towing they are packed on the camper floor and when camped they make a stack
on one of the lower countertops (and make for a raised 'countertop' at their
top where stuff like a mirror and such can sit).  For the dirty laundry as
it amasses we just fill up plastic bags which move into the car out of the
way.  This seems to work well for us in keeping the clean clothes all nice
and out of the way and the used clothes 'gone'.  It also helps in keeping
the folks from bringing their entire wardrobe with them.

A little tangential thought, but I write it because I am thinking of it as
it has to do with keeping the camper 'cleaner'....  For the floor we use a
few long and skinny rugs that fit right in, bought in Linens and Things or
Bed Bath and Beyond or someplace like that.  We trimmed one of them to fit
around a corner.  After the trip they go into the washer too.  Works well
for us.

Along with the drawers mentioned below I bought a couple of the fabric
shelve units that mount in a closet and mounted a hook on the ceiling
near each bed end. This gives 3 1.5 foot square storage areas. I found
mine at a Big Lots for $5 each... 6 shelves cut off 3 of them and used
the other three...

Better idea...do what my parents did when my brother & I got old enough -
the tents were for us to sleep and live out of.  They had some more room,
and we enjoyed being out in the tents.  It was a lot more comfortable for
all of us not to be crammed in the pop-up together.

This is a good idea and works up to a certain age.  My 14 and 16 year olds
have no interest in going into a tent if the rolling hotel room is there
<grin>.
