Thanks Austin, sometimes, when you are deep in your thoughts, you forget
that not all people are following you :)
Well, the word Experience meant any trouble with it ?
I've looked at a new one (Niagara 2007) so I know what I like about it.
What I want to know, is if anybody had problems with the Highlander models
(recent and new one only) and in general with Fleetwood's.
For example, the GVWR is 3,770#. (3160# dry). My vehicule's rating is 3500#.
The dealer told me that is goes within the security margin. Any thought on
that ?
At that high price, is the second hand market strong or will I loose a lot
of money by depreciation ?
On another aspect of the question, is there any comparable "high end" popups
manufacturers around ?
Sorry for the confusion...

Hah! So much for dealers. Your 'security margin' for towing is usually
regarded as 25% LESS than the published tow ratings, so if your published
tow rating is 3500 pounds, safety conscious people would only tow about 2625
pounds!
If you will tell us what tow vehicle you own, we can help you with the
numbers involved in calculating how much weight you can ACTUALLY safely tow
(often, even without the 75% safety margin, LESS than what the published
figure is!)

This has the 250 hp engine, but a wheelbase of only 105.3 inches, and a curb
weight of 3175 pounds. So, for a tow vehicle, this is a smallish vehicle
with a shortish wheelbase.
Therefore, I would recommend that you limit the weight of anything you want
to tow to about 2500 pounds total - loaded with gear and extras - and make
sure that the camper has brakes and you have a decent brake controller.
DON'T believe anything either a car or a camper salesman tells you about
what you can and cannot tow with any vehicle. They just want to sell you
the vehicle or camper!!! SAFETY of you and your family, and of others on
the road, is what is important!!

I tow mine with a 2004 F-150 4x4 with a 9,000 pound tow
rating. You need to get a "much" smaller pop-up or get
a different tow vehicle.

Why in the world would I do that ? Follow my posts in Saab ng.
It went really well with the 2002 starcraft 2108.

Sorry, I usually try to be more helpful. Aparently, you caught me in
"Mr. Hyde" mode.
