I have been considering going back to two, 6VDC golf car batteries, now that I
know where to get a proper battery box for them.
In any case, increasing the capacity of your battery is ALWAYS a good thing,
especially if you like to "dry" camp. When the Group 24 that CAME from the
dealer finally died, I upped to a Group 27. If nothing else, the larger
battery would give me one MORE night using the furnace.

Well...I did just that. Stopped on the way home and picked up a bigger box
and a group 31 battery. I was debating going with 27 or 31, but the 31 was
only another $20, 10 Amp Hours, and the guy said the group 31 tended to be a
heftier battery and would probably hold up a little longer than the 27. Now
I just have to take my camper in for my cousing to do some welding on the
tongue so it will fit.
Where did you find the golf cart battery boxes? Do you have the dimensions
of them by chance? I'd like to leave myself open for that option down the
road possibly...but would be nice not to have to have it welded and modified
again... :-)
Thanks,
Wesley
