Hi to All,
I have been looking on the Internet for a trailer I saw 7 or 8 years ago and
have not been able to find it.
I don't know if you call it a JACK up trailer or FOLD up trailer POP-up
trailer, but it was  a hard sided tow trailer that could be let down to 1/2
height
and towed with a lot less wind side movement  and when you get where you are
going it would jack it self up to full size.(with a switch)
Any Idea who made it or if you still get it??

Thats the HILO:

http://www.hilotrailer.com/

I call them a travel trailer with a vertical slide out.  I owned a
couple of them a few years ago.

Nice for pulling and can be stored in a garage.  On the downside, they
are a bit heavy.  For example the 24 foot tow lite weighs 4100 pounds dry.

They have much of the same items as other travel trailers such as fresh,
gray and black water tanks.

Set up is easy.  I used to say my 110 pound wife could set one up in 10
seconds.

Now they even have one with a slideout.

Where are you located?  There is one just outside Beaver Dam, WI for
sale.  Looks to be a 20/22 footer.

I live in Los Angeles
HI-Lo is it. I looked at the web site.
I had a cab over camper on my 3/4 ton PU truck and I drive up HYW. 395 and
I had the wind coming off the Sierra Nevada range blow the truck over three
lanes of the highway. I was just lucky no one else was on the road around
me.
I think the low trailer would help that out a lot. Also when I had the
camper once I set up I was stuck there. With a trailer I can unhitch and
head to the store.

I have a pop-up slide in camper on the truck.  Better mileage than the big
Lances and and lighter weight.  Mine is a Palomino B-800.  The lightest is
the fourwheel popup camper out of Woodland, CA.  Does not take a lot of time
with the jacks and an 18V DeWalt drill to remove it from the truck.

I gave the camper way 5 years ago and have been motel- ing it  or camping
since. Also sold the truck and saved 750$ a year in insurance.

Aren't they all manual?

They have a lot more sleeping room than the HILO and much lighter.  But
not as well insulated.   More like a hard side popup whereas a HILO is
more like other travel trailers with holding tanks etc.
