There are two campgrounds.  One is by the Lower Falls and the other is
at the River Mouth.

The River Mouth has a rustic camping area along the Tahquamenon that I
enjoy due to the view and relative seclusion.  But no electricity and
pit toilets.  The other side of the campground has electricity and
bathhouse.

The Lower Falls campground is larger, tends to be more crowded with
folks heading to the falls.  Both the Lower and Upper Falls are very
scenic, and quite different from each other.  No camping at the Upper
Falls, but it does have a brew pub. :)

Great hiking trails abound.  I highly recommended a visit to nearby
Whitefish Point and the Shipwreck Museum.

The mosquitoes can be formidable and during the wrong time of year
(July?), biting black flies are around.

John, if you have any specific questions, ask away!

I spent a few days of my first honeymoon at Rivermouth, 25 years ago or so
(we spent a coupla weeks touring and tent-camping around northern MI on my
motorcycle).  I prefer it to Lower Falls, myself.

Enjoy yourself.

The Rivermouth is more secluded (quieter!).  More to do at Lower
Falls.

Do you know the area?  If so, disregard my list.

Some things worth doing: driving over to the Soo and seeing the
locks.  I mentioned Whitefish Point.  And the hiking.  I've hiked/
backpacked from the Rivermouth to Upper Falls and back.  The Crisp
Point Lighthouse is spectacular.  Getting there is an accomplishment
in itself.  See http://www.crisppointlighthouse.org/ and make sure you
read the driving directions if you do intend to go there!  Also, you
can rent a canoe on the Big Two Hearted River.

At the Lower Falls, be sure to rent a row boat and go over to the
island.  When you take a walk around the island, you'll get some great
views of the falls.

And of course, who could resist going to Paradise?
