Some towns in Massachusetts have campgrounds that are run  local
municipalities, I'm not referring to state or private campgrounds but
campgrounds
that are run by the town. These campgrounds are seldom listed in campground
directories like trailer life.Does anyone have knowledge of a web site
or listing of such campgrounds?

I don't know about Massachusetts, but here in the west, if you want to find
campgrounds (as opposed to RV parks), you need a camping guide book.. I have
a whole shelf of them from trips we have made - most of them were published
by foghorn. http://www.foghorn.com/ On the homepage they show a book called
New England Camping.

We have stayed here a couple times and found it convenient
access to the Cape.
