Got some information from the dealer on towing the Honda Civic Hybrid 4
wheels down. No differences from the Civic. They don't reccommend it because
thay have not tested it themselves, but it can be done safely. When I
ordered the Blue Ox base plate the RV dealer asked me if they reccommended a
Transmission Pump at Honda? Has anyone had to install a transmission pump on
a Civic or Accord to tow 4 wheels down? Thanks.

We tow our 98 Accord 4 down with no modifications. Prior to towing run the
engine for 1 minute in each forward gear making sure that the last gear used
is not reverse. Place the car in neutral, key in ACC, parking brake off. Tow
for up to 8 hours or 500 miles. At time or distance repeat the above steps.

Over 33,000 miles towing so far with zero problems.

You don't need anything added to tow a Civic or Accord 4 wheels down.
Towing the Civic Hybrid might be ok if it's a standard transmission.
I don't know about the automatic they use a CVT transmission.  Which
is a Continuously Variable Transmission.  These are not the same as
the automatics in the regular Civic.  Also with the electric motor
drive I would be wondering if that would effect anything.  If I were
you I would contact Honda and not take the word of a salesman at a
dealership about being able to tow the Hybrid without any
modifications.   I don't know if Remco Towing would have any
information about the Hybrid because it is so new but you can contact
them and ask since they make the majority of transmission pumps and
disconnects. http://www.remcotowing.com/

Take care and Happy Campin...
