We may be taking our motor home to the Kingston, Ontario area next month
and would like to contact anyone familiar with the RV park facilities in
that area.

As this does not qualify as "general interest" for this ng, e-mail replies
would probably be appropriate.

Ben, one of our favourite parks in Kinston is a municipal park "Lake Ontario
Park" overlooking Lake Ontario. We stayed there many times while visiting our
son at Queen's University. They have several full hook up sites and many
water/elect (30amp). It is located on King St. West. If you take the John A
MacDonald exit # 615 off Hwy # 401. Go South towards the lake. Turn right on
King St. The park is within 3 miles. (Address is 934 +/- King St)

Enjoy the park

I've stayed there too. Facilities are minimal but it's a nice location. We
enjoyed it. It's adjacent to a little amusement park - good for a laugh and
doesn't disturb the campground. There are only 6 full hookup sites. Lotsa
big shade trees.

We've stayed at the KOA which is nicer but it's 10 minutes out in the
boonies. Water / elec only.

Cheers,
Joe

Thanks to both of you.

We did a web search, got the info on-line, checked some important details
(I have many sensitivities to airborne pollutants), and now have a
reservation for two weeks in July in one of their six (6) full service (3
way) sites with a 30 amp power connection so that we can run our air
conditioner and microwave at the same time!  :-)

The other good news was that they do not allow campfires (the smoke makes
me sick).

The bad news, at least as given on their website, is that this is their
last year of operation.  :-(
