Ladder

Just finished waxing the rig. What a chore without a step ladder (don't have
the room to bring one along).

Looking at the roof ladder attached to the rig I'm thinking that why it
couldn't be modified to be both, a roof AND a step ladder. By pulling, say,
four pins it would detach from the bracket and with a couple of legs added,
it could become a step ladder.

Is there such an animal around?

Those roof ladders are pretty narrow. I don't know how practical it would be
to base a step ladder on something like that.

Hardware stores carry a ladder that folds up and can be set up in a variety
of configurations. Perhaps if you have the space you could use something
like that. Or you could attach it to your ladder.

It isn't the fall that hurts:)

It's the sudden stop:(

I bought a 14' extension ladder and cut off a foot. This
gives me enough to reach the roof and yet it fits in my
short bed truck. I carry it on the back bumper now, strapped
to the bike rack. No reason one like it couldn't be bungied
to the present ladder you have now. Just a thought.

This is the one I use. It folds to 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" by the length of the
ladder. I bought the 6' and wish I'd bought the 7'.

I came pretty close in buying one of these last year at the FMCA Rally. This
could be a solution, but I was hoping that someone built one that could be
used for both, a step and a roof ladder.

BTW: Where are you located ATPT? We are in Lewistown MT waiting for a Dog
Herding Trial this weekend.
