I posted some questions a few months ago regarding the struggles some folks have in hitching their RVs to their vehicles.  You were all very kind in your feedback and helped me refine our new product a great deal.

I wanted to write and say thank you to you all and let you know the Hitch Aid website is now up and running.  If you have a minute please check it out at www.hitchaid.com and let me know what you think.

Thank you all again,

Curtis Thompson

Retail price is $399.00  About a third of the permanent mount systems.

That sounds reasonable for such technology.

Personally, I am dubious of its appeal to those other than gadget freaks.

The time it would take to retrieve the devices, set them up, take them down
and put them away would be greater than the time it takes to hitch a travel
trailer the old fashioned way.

Regardless, I wish you good luck.

If you want something like that simply order your next vehicle with the
video Backup system, and you will have it permanently attached.

The problem with those systems is that it is designed with a fixed field of
vision and you cannot adjust the camera for alternative views.  They are
great for backing but not necessarily hitching.

Thanks for the input,
Curtis

Interesting.

Most of the RVs that I have test driven have at least two channels. I will be leaving the channel A for fixed rear view look but splitting channel B between an additional camera mounted looking straight at the ball and the other one looking back at inside of the cabin.

Not personally useful for me but hey someone sells ant farms and folks are buying them.

The system retails for $399.  This includes a full warranty.

After viewing your website, I have thought of many uses for a portable
camera and monitor. For example: setting up a tv satelite and other
uses that would require 2 people.

It has a place in todays world. I just can't justify the cost at this
time.

Thanks for taking the time to check it out!  Watch for us in the future.
Prices will probably come down since the demand from distributors looks very
good so far.

"Hitching a 5th wheel is an exact science"????

If you consider plus / minus 45 degrees and plus/minus 6 inches alignment exact, I guess.

Looks kind of like an electric fork to me... neat, but didn't really need inventing.

But to each his own.  (money)
