Just a heads up. This is from my journal of our trip to Mexico Beach Dated
February 2, 2004
After travelling through very heavy traffic in downtown Atlanta, we stopped
at the Walmart in Morrow, Georgia. We bought some stuff at Walmart and came
back and were eating. A truck with a flasher on the roof stopped beside the
RV and Jim spoke to the guy. According to what we were told, Atlanta has a
no overnite parking by-law and we can't stay. Poor Jim! After driving all
day he has to start all over.

Assuming a free lunch is available and relying on it isn't a good
plan. If you came to Atlanta on '75, there are places to stop both
before and after it.

We didn't know that then.

From there, it's only another 50 km to the Flying J at Jackson.
Over the years, we've travelled I-75 *so* many times, that there isn't a
single stretch along the entire route, where we don't know of an
overnighting spot within an hour's drive. Between Wal-Mart, and moreso,
Flying J; finding a spot to park for the night is an insignificant
issue.
While we've obviously passed through Morrow numerous times, my ultra
sensitive nose, with 30 years of training in the art of freeloading, has
always told me that it isn't even worth effort to check out Morrow! And
you've now confirmed that my instincts were correct.
It's somewhat comforting to know that at my stage of life, at least
*something* still works! :-)

Didn't even know about Flying J then. It's a learning process.

Next year we won't be going that route, since we are going to the Llano
Grande valley.

I'll tell you, though, once you learn that lesson, you don't forget about
it.
No more Morrow!
except TO morrow.

OH NO. Horrible. Awful. Disgusting. I'll sure avoid Georgia in all my future
travels and advise all my family and friends to do the same. We should
probably boycott all the bordering states as well.
