Bob and Chris had one good idea, some of us can turn off our hearing aids
also. Personally I have always enjoyed listening to the rain fall on the
roof, especially when it was bedtime. Though a downpour can be a bit much
to some. That is the time I turn off the aid and put the good ear to the
pillow.
Another thought, most RVs have some kind of lining on the ceiling like a
short pile capeting. If you don't already have that type of material adding
it or something thicker may help. Just a possible idea.

If there are air conditioners or other high points on the roof like
open vents, one could throw a lightweight tarp over them; the tent-like
cover would probably greatly decrease droplet impact noise.

while I agree, particularly your second suggestion, this
info is not for me.

It doesn't make any difference who it is for, it's still valid. There is no
practical way to do what you asked, except keep the rig out of the rain.
You, or whoever the information is for, can do that most of the time by only
going where it doesn't rain. Or, wear earplugs, or, second suggestion. :-)

Same way you handle strange noise from vehicle engine. Turn up the
music system very loud:-))
Lou (Who once sat in a car for 40 minutes in what turned out to be a
100 year rain - too loud to hear the radio)

Another noisemaker that works for us: the fan on the A/C. Ours is
pretty loud and works for most noises, though a heavy rain will win
out.
