How do you know there is an inch left?

Have you put the RV up on blocks on the side that would tip the drain
towards the opening?
How about take a hose and stick it down the toilet, if you can't get
it all you can at least dilute it pretty good.
How do you know there's some left?

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "...holy sh.t...what a ride!"

They make a black tank pressure washing adapter. You attach it to
the garden hose and send it down in the toilet. Be careful not to
allow the flush flapper to close on it possibly damaging the toilet.
This action should wash sediments that may be damed up near the
drain, causing the tank to not drain.
After this has not satisfied the problem, get under the TT and put a
level across the bottom of the tank and see if it is mounted sloping
towards the drain, could be the problem.

At this time in life all that
remains is left overs, some can
be cherished as good others bad,
but the only definite is that they
are all that remains, main course is
over.
I'm using a dowel down the throat of the toilet to gauge what remains
after dumping - and yes I have elevated the opposite side slightly
and still can't get it all.
I'm just curious if other Alumascape (Holiday Rambler) users are
finding a similar problem?

Well, mine's a 2005 Alumascape 5th and I never noticed. When I'm
finished dumping the level meter shows empty, but of course tha's only
an indicator, not too accurate.

We noticed 'something different' about our black tank by accident.
After dumping the tank the level indicator would continue to show a 1/3
full for about 10 minutes before finally indicating empty! It was the
slow to respond indicator that led me to further investigate what was
really happening down there.
We were told on the phone by an authorized service center that some
tanks develop a belly or bulge on the bottom and that this can be fixed
by supporting the underside of the tank. One service center in
Sacramento has tried to resolve the problem (and said they did) but the
problem persists. It sure doesn't help that the interior of the
black tank is black! Our first trailer had a light colored bottom on
the black tank and it was easy to see from above if everything was out.
BTW, I've fixed about 12 of the 15 punch list items we've found in
the 10 months we've owned our trailer. Our most serious problem was
a wire rubbed bare on one of the trailer brake magnets! The resulting
short, when I applied the brake, disabled all the trailer brakes. I
crossed Death Valley in this condition and limped into Las Vegas for
repairs. The most amusing was noticing the sofa was mounted 2" from
being square. We had used the trailer several time and never notice
it, but once we did it was very obvious. How some of the issues I've
had got past QC is beyond me!
