Ok, I haven't checked yet, but it just occurred to me I have to get propane
for the MH. Do I have to take the big cylinder out or do they fill it up
while still on the MH?

You leave it in the MH. Pull up to the pump with the side of the MH where
the tanks is located facing the pump. They will turn off the propane, fill
the tank, and about 1/2 the time turn the propane back on.

Just a FYI thing. Propane tanks on motorhomes are permanently
attached. Another closely related item is, if you hear anything about
needing an OPD valve on your tank, MH tanks have had these for many
yrs. Oh, also propane tanks on MH's are made and regulated by
different stds than with portable tanks. MH tanks = ASME, port tanks
= DOT
