Got a good deal on paper for an 05 Newmar.
I would like to hear from some of you that own one. Any bonuses with the
brand? Any problems, service etc?

Yes, no, maybe, and definitely.

I have a 38' '06 Mountain Aire gasser.  It has a Banks pack and a 460.

Things I like about it:

good cabinetry
pretty good attention to details, like even screw spacing
good equipment
comfortable
rides quietly

Things I don't like:
low mileage
long tail overhang (didn't research enough before buying)
blew two trannies in 7,000 miles

All in all, I like the brand.  I would buy another, but diesel.  We got this
one for a great price, so I can't complain.  Just returned from four days at
the Delco Drag Races in Las Vegas.  Great time.  Comfortable accommodations
for three people.

Thanks a lot.
This model was engineered for tall people and is not in the 06 line.
I was concerned because they have dropped the warranty to 1 year.
The new CEO is aparently going to take Newmar the KMart route.
I didn't want any expensive surprises.
This 05 Model is well constructed and atention to basic things is there
where many ither makes skip.

It's not? Damn, I thought I saw a Class A in my future. (Almost) everything
else is built for sub six footers.

Cheers, Joe
