Just wondering how many of you do this in your Rig , where you put the
slow cooker so its safe in case of a sudden stop,  and if you run a
ground wire attached to the slow cooker (underneath) . Any tips using it
with an inverter, or, in general ?  Thanks.

Do it often.  Just place the crockpot on a terry cloth towel in the sink.
