Does anyone have any experience with RV parks in Big Sur. We are going
to have to pass on the wonderful state parks, because we want hookups
in the winter. We are looking for a nice low energy parks - not a lot
of activities or groups.
The three I have found are Riverside, Fernwood and Big Sur CG& Cabins.
I am also considering going a bit further to Carmel by the River.

It's been a few years, but we have camped on private campsites around
Big Sur with full hookups. There were many... Al

I have been to Riverside and found it quite pleasant, especially at this
time of the year. One can also walk up the (rather steep) driveway to
Highway One and over to a nice breakfast and lunch place. I recommend
it, although (caveat emptor) I haven't been there for about five years.

i have been to Big Sur Campground and cabins on the River and it was a
great trip ...a good place to stay
