Williston Crossings RV Resort

The Williston Crossings RV Resort just opened last month.  I have just
returned from taking a look at the facility and was impressed with what the
owners (Bill and Denise Marin) are doing.

The Resort is located on a 160 acre tract that contains an old barrow pit.
It is contiguous to the city of
Williston, FL (about 20 miles SW of Gainesville, FL and about 20 miles NW of
Ocala, FL ).  The Martins are constructing the resort in three phases with
phase one just completed.  The first phase consists of  100 RV sites, a
laundry and
shower(which is outstanding) facility, communications building, fire pit
gazebo and a tennis court. The RV sites are spacious with water, sewer,
electric (50 & 30 amp) telephone, internet and cable TV hookups.  The RV pads
are concrete and include a concrete patio.  Current rates are 19.95 per day
and 139.95 per week (monthly rates 295.00 available excluding power which is
billed separately since each site has a meter).  The cost includes 40
channel cable TV. Internet and telephone is separate. These rates are good
through 30 Apr 06.

I might add that people using the RV park can access the entire town by
bicycle
Several Rails-to-Trials are within 20-30 miles.

The Martin's are working on constructing a town section, fish lagoon, water
fall, an
additional recreation building, rental log cabins and more RV sites that
will include pull-throughs.

I have no financial interest in this project and I am not employed by the
owners.  Just trying to provide information for people that prefer
commercial RV resorts/campgrounds.

There is a website at:

It's very strange for someone with no interest to post about a park on
12/10, and then turn around and post about the same park on 12/30
using all the parks almost exact promotion verbiage. If it smells like
spam, 99% of the time it's spam IMHO.

Hi Tom,

RVC has been here a long time, it's not spam.

When I find a new park, and I think others would like to know about
it, I post it.

Besides alt. rv allows posts like that.

Your Humble Opinion is wrong.

What do you mean by Internet hookups at every site?

Cat 5?
Wifi?
phone?

Hunter-

They have DSL and will have WiFi in the next few months.  They provide a
modem for the DSL ($50.00 refundable deposit).  According to the propaganda
sheet they gave me when I was there, the cost: is $4 day,$12 per week, $28
two weeks and 35.00 per month. Telephone is a buck a day and 19 per month.
Both is $44 per month-----damn, I'm moving going to get a site just for the
DSL!  My home in the boondocks is dialup only!

Nice looking place, I would consider it a must to keep destination in
mind. Do you have any more information, I see where they have internet
connection, but by what means, cable, phone line dial up of high speed
DSL. Makes a big difference.
Also I noticed the electric meter is at each site. With the price ranges
it is hard to tell what is metered, all rates or just monthly, like normal.

Bill-

As to the internet connect see my reply to Hunter.  The way I read the poop
sheet they gave me the daily/ weekly include electric, while the monthly is
metered.  I have not stayed at the park, I just live in the area.  I believe
they have a toll free number on their website.  They do have a 3 day "Good
Deal" for FMC, Good Sam and RV USA ($10 a day), but no Escapees.  Their rate
sheet says the rates are good through 30Apr06, but are subject to change
without notice---I'd call in advance on their dime.  If you can't get the
toll free number on their web, let me know and I'll see if I can located it.
