In anticipation of camping for a full week in the same spot, but ONLY an
electric hookup, I purchased a 30-gallon blue Barker Tote Tank. To my
chagrin, I discovered that the dump outlet on my TT is about an inch or two
BELOW the rim of the inlet for the tote tank!! It was a frustrating and
conceptually disgusting process of filling the stinky slinky on the ground,
then lifting it up to move the flow into the blue tank.
Prior to the following year's week-long campout, I bought a Flojet portable
macerator pump. That, combined with a short length of 3/4-inch garden hose,
filled the tote tank quickly and easily.
I also use the macerator pump and a 50-ft length of 3/4-inch rubber hose to
rinse (and dump) my holding tanks at home next to the house. I route the hose
through the doggie door and into the washing machine standpipe drain. This,
too, works like a charm. Don't go camping without it!
