I read their ads in AARP and read an awful lot of posts on this group
(archived) about these trailers. The manufacturers all invite you to
visit their factory, but what if you want to find one closer to home?
Texas and Minnesota are pretty far from PA.
Also, is there a site where people sell older lightweights?
Thanks!

When I first started considering RV'ng I had contacted the Scamp people
and if I remember correctly it was with their web site. Told them I was
interested and can't rememer exactly how it came about but they sent me
a list of people who were selling theirs. I contacted a couple and
visited with them etc. Scamp seemed to be more helpful that I had
expected. Their rigs were quite nice but some what confining. We had
all ready done the VW Westfalia bit and wanted something bigger and
ended up with a Class C and later on into an A.
But the Scamps were well made at the time and had almost anything you
could want except a lot of extra room but for weekends and short
vacations they would be great or maybe even for 1 or 2 persons. Or if
the people were the outdoors types.

Last fall the Scamp factory burned to the ground. I lost almost
everything. I believe they are currently only making 16 ft units.
In the same list is the older Big Foot units, current models are
larger, but still built well. Also Boler units

Yes, there are on-line forums where you could find units for sale

There are no dealers for Scamp and Casita. They sell from the
factory only. The Scamp factory burned down about a month ago,
and I don't know their current status.
I know that Scamp will hook you up with someone who owns one in
Pennsylvania if you want to just look at it. I believe Casita
does this too.

I found this on Google.

I'm thinking about getting rid of my class c and getting a scamp.
My Silverado 1500 Z-71 should handle it.
