I just wasted the whole day so here is a tip you all can use. I tried to
start my EU3000is this morning and after two pulls the handle came off and
the string disappeared! Whoever made it didn't tie a proper knot.
It took all morning to get the Honda apart and get at the coil of rope. It
is behind everything and a huge awkward task to get to and put everything
back (if you can remember how it all goes!) which took the afternoon. What
fun.
So you can save yourself this agony, by tying a good fat knot ( a figure
eight knot is for this job) in your line to hold the handle on, instead of
whatever is there now.
Regards,
Barry

I remember that happening to me once with a lawn mower. Same angst. Let's
all tie that knot!
