I was In Big Sur last weekend. I was in a pull out talking to a friend
when this drives by. He saw it before I did. He pointed it out to me and
I grabbed my camera. Got these shots as it went by.

Who would have thought, an RV as a toad?

Hmmm. Safety aside, I wonder if you'd get better overall gas mileage
towing in reverse order.

Considering the brand of Coach it is, that's the best it's ever run.

Kewl. I bet that guy's onto something. I bet a MH like that with a
blown engine could be had for next to nothing. Remove the drivetrain,
weld on a tow bar, rig up some brakes and away you go! A very cheap
way to go RV'ing in comfort.
Not much different than the trailers from yesteryear that had a sprung
axle under the tongue. That let a small vehicle pull a much heavier
trailer. There is one of those parked in the RV park near my cabin.
I've been meaning to take a photo....

Yep, I'll bet it's a 'dead' class A. either being used as a travel
trailer, or on its way to becoming a 'park model' (that'd be both a
descriptive term and an intended pun).
Somehow, I'm reminded of a historic British naval painting, showing one
of the last sailing warships being towed to the breaker's yard by a
small early steam tug... "The Fighting Temeraire", IIRC?

...snip...
But, you cannot back this thing up because of the steering
caster. So, it is probably not a quasi-travel trailer.

That would make parking it a bit of a problem, wouldn't it?

Guess he'd just use pull-thru sites, then, like folks with a 4-down toad
sometimes do. Or maybe it can still back under its own power.

OK then. Bob did you get a chance to tell the guy there is such thing as a
trailer?
