I am in the process of rehabbing a VERY old RV (1973 open road, 400 Chevy
V-8).  The tin on the roof has numerous pit holes from corrosion.

Can I use flexible, rubber based flashing sealant?  Or is there a better
option?

I've had to remove 1/2 of the interior ceiling to remove warping plywood.
I'd really prefer never having to do that again.

Thanks,

That thing probably has LOTS of hidden water damage you have yet to
discover.

Hi,
There is a rubber roofing material EPDM that can be applied over the
whole roof.  Or you can get aluminum roofing material and apply that.
Either one will do a very good job if you want to go through the time
and expense to do it right.

If you just want to stop it from leaking for awhile then get a couple of
gallons of Kool Seal or Liquid Roof and apply that.  You can look at
what these products are at www.campingworld.com   Do a search for Roof.

EPDM roofing should be available from hardware stores or roofing
dealers or RV dealers and other places on the web.

Hope this Helps.  Take care and Happy Campin..
