Looking for weatherstrip for skylights

We have a 1997 Coachmen PU slide in camper. The weather strip on the
main skyight/escape hatch over the bed (which is over the truck cab) is
shot. At 26 below (F) the heater just works too hard (we bought this for
snowmobiling). I have been looking everywhere for a replacement.

I first tried k&C RV in Golden, CO where we bought it. No luck. Camping
world, no luck. Nolan RV/Marine in Denver (the supposedly have
Everything), no luck. I was finally advised by Camping World to try
Checkers or AutoZone. I bought some stuff at Pep Boys and it is too fat.

Any suggestions where to get this stuff? It looks like the one in the
kitchen/dining area is getting tired and I am sure the bathroom one is
not far behind.

Thanks,

Charles

Have you considered using a Silicone Sealant?

Putting a bit of vaseline on the surface that you DON"T want to stick to
will let you continue to have an openable hatch/window.

You might want to also consider either replacing the windows with
double-paned units or using some of the shrink-fit "instant storm window"
kits if your existing windows/hatches are single-paned ones.

At -26F you need all the insulation values that you can get.

Have you wandered the aisles at a hardware store?  I know its a long
shot, but after talking to Nu-Wa, I discovered that the seal for my
slideout was common garage door gasket available at any Lowe's or Home
Depot.
