Has any one found a more Efficient Air Pump lately. I would
think with technology advances some one just might have come
up with a pump more suited for RVing.

Are you inflating a tire or air mattress?

After throwing-away too many 12VDC air compressors, I finally decided to take
my chances and carry only a 120VAC model.  Now, with a little generator, it's
a no-brainer.  I don't think ANY 12-volt model that plugs into a cigarette
lighter can withstand the constant running required to inflate large truck
tires.

Oh, they have.  They have.

For a high price, you can have an under-the-hood compressor and tank
installed.  You simply get the air hose from a storage compartment, raise the
hood, and plug into the air outlet.  You'll note that this type of system does
NOT plug into a cigarette lighter.  Big rig accessory installers can do this
work.

Of course, this may not even be what you are referring to with "air pump".
Oh, well...
