I have heard about RV Storage Condos coming on the market. There are like
self storage units on Steroids. Some as big as 50" x 17' wide. They are
being marketed
to RV and Classic cars owners.

Anyone had any experience with these?

Above are a few examples.

Thanks

There's one where I live in Coeur D'Alene, ID, that I looked into briefly.
$55,000 plus maintenance dues plus property taxes.  I pay $80.00 per month
for a 12 x 36 inside storage space.  Just taking the purchase price of
$55,000 divided by the monthly rent I'm paying equals 57 years......I'll be
gone long before that :-)

Their whole selling point is that they are supposed to appreciate in value.
Location has been here for two years with very few sold, while a housing
boom has increased regular single family housing by 35 to 45%.

That is really interesting. Is what you pay for inside storage the norm in
your area.

Here in So. Cal., it ranges from 300-600/month for inside storage. So to
spend 60K on a storage unit, it makes sense, at least here.

But one that costs 60K in Coeur D'Alene, ID would cost just a smidgen more
in SoCal.

Actually, the So Cal location is expected to be
in the low to mid 60's. (Fingers Crossed)

Again, Kansas is a pretty good place to live.  Around here (Wichita) covered
storage runs $70-80/mo.  This goes up to about $150-180 with a closable
door.  Open lot storage $30-40.  The lot we use even provides an electrical
outlet every 2-3 slots for folks who need ot do maintenance, repair or
cleaning without moving their rig.
