Just another good reason I enjoy living in the great Inland Northwest.

Oregon got high marks because the test consists of knowing the
difference between the tires and the steering wheel and not much else.
I find it very difficult to place much weight on the standings when
Oregon passes people who can not read or write in there own native language.
Try the Portland area for very aggressive drivers if you care to play
dodgem cars for real and not on the midway at a carnival.

Ed, you ever been to Boston, MA or "The Rotten Apple"? I was told Boston has
some of the highest insurance rates going, and a red light there just means
"don't get caught"(LOL). I've spent time in BOTH in autos & 18 wheelers,
"paid my dues" as I told my last employer, so *Please* don't send me there
if you don't have to. He sent me to NYC twice in 5 yr., so I couldn't really
complain.

I don't know their rankings, but they sure can be a bunch of idiots. My SIL
was trying to get an 18 around a right hand corner in NYC, and one of their
more idiotic drivers wouldn't back up a little to let him clear. After 3 or
4 traffic light changes, NYC cop shows up saying "You're blocking traffic,
get that ^%$#()*& rig around the corner!" Upon being apprised of the
situation, the cop had the motorist backed off, motioning SIL around the
corner with a friendly wave, and as he drove away, saw the motorist getting
a ticket.

Just how do they get these rankings? Thoroughly understandable if they key
off the big cities. However, we have idjits out here in the "sticks" too.
Just yesterday and SUV did a left turn in front of two motorcycles, 2 dead 2
injured. FWIW, NY is a mandatory helmet, mandatory motorcycle headlight law.
People still don't recognize MC's as motor vehicles with a right to be on
the road. Many hair-raising episodes when we rode.

Hmm, let me guess.  You live on the east coast.  :-)

You write a sentence like "I find it very difficult to place much weight on
the standings when Oregon passes people who can not read or write in there
own native language.", and you call me a dunce?

I cringe everytime I see an Oregon plate here in SoCal. The gas pedal is
the one on the right, if you can't figure that out, stay in the right
lane!
